Our Story
When I was young, my family placed a huge emphasis on community service, engagement and involvement. Volunteering in some capacity has always been an important part of my life. Now, as a mother, I am working to instill the same values and passion for community into my sons.
Creating opportunities to share community involvement with my family has, at times, proven to be a difficult task and the need for The Philanthropy Initiative became clear.
